Artist statement:
"This work is evidence of
an exploration of materials and the forces that affect
them. Invisible energies become apparent as they flow
through matter, and the plasticity of cloth and screen
provides a medium to map this flow. Tension and gravity
are displayed as they align with the media, manifesting
fluid forms.
Working the screen
through a series of actions, such as pinning, twisting
and stretching the material, relationships of cause and
effect are discovered and emphasized with layers of
color that parallel the convolutions of form and
inherent tensions."
